Found on www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/WAR/deloyd/Various%201893.htm Reported Apr 22 1893 BARBER-ONIONS 15 inst at Defford Church Worcester (by Rev George Swinden assisted by Rev. Cresswell Strange) William Henry Barber elder son of William Henry of Ashbourne, Edgbaston, to Martha Constance Hattie, only dau of Simon Onions of Bourne Bank, Worcs. I wonder if this is the same Rev. Cannon Cresswell STRANGE who christened Barbara Cartland?
Susan Slater (slatersr(at)earthlink(dot).net) said she found the name of a Reverend Cresswell Strange in a will of an indirect ancestor who resided at Wreyland Downe, Lustleigh, Devon. No nothing more then that about this person.
Paul Strange said, "I know of two Rev Cresswell Strange. One lived 1842 - 1905, and had a distinguished career as a clergyman, though I do not believe he went to Devon. The other was a headmaster of a school in Lancashire in the 1940's".
